Measurement of Electrical Wiring by Thermal Infrared Camera 

The principle of searching for potentially danger locations is the fact that any transition resistance in the electrical contacts or overload causes local heating. It is initially almost imperceptible – temperature is ranging in Celsius degrees, but gradually increases and may cause destruction of the device respectively fire.

Thermal imaging camera is able to detect differences in measure of tenths of a degree, it means it is able to locate the fault in its beginning.

The thermogram of electrical wiring documents the state of the device at the time of inspection and it is an important source for maintenance work.
