Processing Energy Performance Certification of Building (abbreviated "EPC") is requested on the one hand by the new construction and on the other hand by building renewals that affect their energy efficiency or by the sale of the building.
EPC must be exposed in a public place and cannot be older than 10 years. EPC is attached to the documentation of the construction.
Legislative conditions for processing EPC are set according to the Energy Act No. 406/2000 and according to its amendment Act No.318/2012 and Regulation No. 78/2013 - Regulation on the energy performance of buildings.
Basically it is a protocol showing the energy performance of a building and building classification into classes A - G, similarly as in case of electrical appliances.
